That sounds awful! Same thing happens here tho. You automatically get healthcare when you get a job. But boy it sucks. You want an appointment and they will give you one in 3 months!! Then there is the public one that everyone has whether you work or not. That one is even worst. But at least for emergencies they both kinda work.

2025-06-20 16:18:12 +0000 UTCI hate how our health care here in the states are tied to our jobs most of the time and even then it can be pricey monthly and having to meet a certain deductibles before insurance even covers it and then you still may be denied. And then if you're on Medicaid or Medicare, there's a stigma with that, and you don't get the best healthcare as someone who may have private insurance. But Medicaid and Medicare probably won't even exist soon enough since that racist lump is in the white house. (small rant) But even just like a minor injury Dylan would need health insurance, like if his kid breaks a leg and gets a cast Jesus, I can only imagine the emergency bill without insurance. I use to work at this nursing home and they had one side that was all run down and dingy for the Medicare patients then the other side who had private health insurance had a private chef, and cleaner area. The health care system in the United States makes me sick (not that I can afford to be sick anyway)
