Omg you’re totally right! The “ive done a lot of flying in my day’’ has got to be a nod to Mary poppins. I need to see that movie too haha Its so wonderful to see Juli Andrew’s sing! She had such an incredible voice. So a bit of a sad backstory, she had surgery for what the thought were non cancerous nodules and the surgery destroyed her singing voice, she wasn’t able to sing again. Turns out she didn’t have nodules but her vocal muscles however became very strained while filming a movie. I don’t believe she sang again till this movie and when she did people behind the scenes were a sobbing mess. Totally watch the sound of music it’s incredible. Oooo and the devil wears Prada that’s a good one!
