Question: 2022 Convention Plans

Hello everyone!

The 2021 holiday season is drawing near, and while I'm coming up with some ideas for new merch for your Christmasing pleasure, I think 2022 will likely see a return of me (JD) to the convention circuit (in the meat dimension). The COVID vaccine is available and taking hold here in the USA, and while most places still demand masks regardless of status, convention traffic seems to be at a safe(r) level, and I've got the confidence/itch to try tabling again.

So I was thinking of where to go. I live in California (again) but there actually aren't very many furry cons here on the West Coast - Further Confusion is here in January, but I won't be able to arrange that in time, and Anthro Northwest is strictly PG, so tabling there probably isn't ideal for me. So, I'll probably be flying eastward. I'd like to reach at least three cons in 2022.

My question for you all is: which of the following regions/cons are YOU most likely to attend? What should I prioritize, to meet most of you?

NOTE: I had a really terrible time tabling at MFF 2019, bad enough that I don't want to repeat it, so that one probably isn't happening. But if very many of you will be there, I might reconsider.

Like Max Wolf, I live in Europe - so in answer to your question, I would cheekily have to say 'ConFuzzled'! Seeing as we have the small matter of the Atlantic ocean getting in the way, I'll simply wish you all every success for your US convention attendance in 2022 :)

My 2022 plans, based on dealer applications and rollovers from 2019, are: FC San Jose in January, TFF Dallas in March, and AC Pittsburgh in July. I'm gonna try to attend ACFI San Antonio in October because it's 90 minutes away, but it'd be my first time there and it's a small con so I'm not sure I can recommend traveling to it one way or the other yet. And I'll try for MFF 2022 but I do pretty decently at that one. Good luck! I know I'm antsy to get back to cons again, hopefully they continue to run reasonably smoothly this year.

Texas Furry Fiesta is my vote, since it's right here in Dallas! I've been to the 2019 and 2020 ones, and both were a ton of fun! I'd love to see you and buy from you there!

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, if there was a con I would absolutely attend, it would be the Geek Faeries in France, I drive my sister there who always have a table so I get there almost every year.

Considering I live in Europe, then I guess I should say... Western Europe region? Although there isn't much happening near my place until at least May if the covid situation remains stable

Do consider adding Furry Migration to your Central list. It has a very relaxed mid-western vibe. (Disclosure: I also staff that con)

I love Megaplex. I’ve been to four of them and they’ve all been great fun. I was at FWA in 2019, and it was a lot of fun as well. I think in 2022 I’m going to MP and BLFF Oh, if you’re going as an artist, FWA has a larger artist space than MP, although the’ve added onto the convention centaur at MP’s hotel, so I expect to see at lot more space available. I hear BLFF’s artist space is pretty big, too.

Yeah next year is gonna be rough for cons I think, the only ones I'm really considering is HMHF, and possibly FE if I can swing it.

Not sure if I’d put AnthrOhio in Northeast or Central based on your breakdown here, but it’s probably the only con I’ll be at for a while, both for budgetary reasons and because I’m staffing.
