To explain football, so there is Touchdown (where they make it to the opponent's end zone) - 6 Points After a Touchdown, there is an opportunity for an extra point or the potential to go for 2. The extra point lines up on the 15 yard line and the kicker tries to kick into the field goal (the big yellow thing). To go for 2, they can line up at the 15 and try to get to the end zone, but they only get one chance to do it. Safety (The player retreats to their endzone which gives 2 points to the defense.) Field Goal (when a team is not close enough to score a touchdown, but they're at risk of the ball transferring, they can go for a field goal and try to kick it at the mark they are at into the field goal (the big yellow thing) this awards the team 3 points.) so when someone says they need 2 touchdowns and a field goal it means they need 20 points (because it assumed they'll get the extra point)
