A is for Annie 11 (WIP working title)

She reasoned her appearance was simply an extension of her professionalism and commitment to the role. If she was to continue working for Dr Mason, she may as well look the part.
So what if she had to get up an extra hour earlier to accomodate an ever expanding beauty routine? She felt sexier than ever, her phone now a constant buzz of selfies and notifications, each one adding a little sprinkle of confidence to the woman's daily life.
The nightlife was also hotting up somewhat, with even more attention coming her way from the Ex. More than she had ever recieved while they'd been living together, it felt like.
She sensed her recent glow-up was at least partly responsible for all the attention. A part of her resented the feeling that her appearance was assigned such a high value over everything else. Meanwhile another part simply couldn't deny: To command all that attention, to watch the Ex work so hard to win her favour, was becoming intoxicating...
