There are times where they need to shore up their numbers quickly and cheaply as possible as Aurelia and Crimson proceed to eradicate them. The solution? Use their captives as seed beds and genetically alter them to produce spawn quickly.
Private Laili of the Crimson 4th Mechanized was captured after engaging with the bugs and getting knocked out. When she came to she knew she was in a hive of some sort, but not realizing she was in the spawning nest. Soon the bugs got to work with her.
