Hey guys, sorry things have been moving so slowly. I've freed myself up as a NEET again to focus on this full time for a while like I originally did, but I've also conveniently not had much time to sit down and grind out work. Even tomorrow I need to be up in 3 hours to rush across the state, help my grandparents move, then rush back and meet with my father before I can finally head home and work.
Nevertheless that's enough complaining. I'm hoping starting Thursday or Friday I can finally sit down and start grinding out work for long periods of time. For now, the picture above shows the model in its current state. It's un-rigged and has had some minor material tweaks from last time. While I've been busy in the real world, I've used my little bit of free time to do some thinking. I'm considering scrapping what I have right now and revamping all materials like I did with the marionette model. I may also scrap the rig instead of preserving it and build from my own original base, update it, move to two spine bones instead of 4, and various other things.
Long-story short, once I can finally sit down and get to work, I'll likely use a completely different method and rework this model to get it looking better than it does now, among various other tweaks. I want to have this model out as soon as possible (though without rushing it).
In other news, I may have finally found an animator who can help put together some idle animations to aid in the v3 update. I may also have a couple of people in mind who can help revamp the addon descriptions since they're currently an eyesore most people ignore. They can also be localized afterward.
