For this piece, I found a pose reference I liked, then created a more dramatic lighting scheme with a 3D model, and then used gradient maps to adjust colors till I liked it! (Sounds like a lot but I promise it’s not super complicated lol) I recommend experimenting with gradient maps if you struggle with finding a cohesive pallet!

This piece of Cardan from start to finish took about 10 hours, (which is a bit long for my portraits) but the time for my pieces varies depending on complexity and deadlines haha. I usually start a ton of pieces (like this one) don’t work on them for months, then pick them back up when I have extra time between projects and finish them. 🕺
