2nd Anniversary & a bit of sharing <3

The client of this painting always commissions this idea around this time every year, and this year, I had the pleasure of having my take on it!
It was quite struggling and a bit stressful to recreate something that already existed and make it better, while not being able to change it too much like switching the camera angle or making a whole different scene. At the end of the day, we finally have the same voice to be able to make this piece complete! (The last two pictures are paintings from previous years by other artists!)

This reminds me that sometimes, all I need to do is just make my client's vision come to life and not letting my artist ego get in the way. As my career goes, I tend to overthink too much and have a high expectation of myself that I keep trying to do more (or sometimes wayyy overdo it) than what my client asks and needs, sometimes it works but other times it does not, but this is exactly why I choose to be a freelance artist, to get to know all these clients and have a tailored painting process based on each person's personality and requirements.

On the other hand, there is a chance that I will stop taking commissions from February due to many reasons, but I will get into the detail when that time is close! For now, I will just focus on making as much freelance commission as possible during this time!
