2025-01-03 22:06:26 +0000 UTCI wonder sometimes if it is not the sort of thing you had to be there at the proper time to "get it" because things do get dated fast, but I do think it has a particular charm that does come thru the cheesyness. And that is something that is actually an interesting parallel between the nature of the movie and the lead character herself, where there is peculiar balance between naivete/innocence and kinky eroticism.

Barbarella is one of those classic movies I really should have seen by now but haven't taken the time for. Last time I was at the local used movie/music store I noticed they had a copy so maybe I'll pick it up next time I'm stopping by and finally give it a watch.
