How to Eat an Elephant - 2025.04.07

The finish line inches closer, faithful followers. We are finishing the renders and scripts for scenes left and right.

We passed the 900 render mark yesterday. Now, in the grand scheme of things, that may not seem like a lot of renders for a new game. However, if you factor in that this is only part one of a game that will likely have about nine or ten expansion updates to cover all of the older content before we expand into new territory.

My last post asked you - the faithful - what you liked about the older game and what you were less than thrilled about. I was happy to hear from those of you who took the time to let us know what you thought. I was really happy to realize that you guys were on the same page as us, more or less. I felt pretty wonderful to know the direction that One Hand Clapping is taking the game is in line with what you want.

Will it happen exactly the way you were thinking? I want to say ‘yes, but with a twist here and there’, which seems like I’m playing coy, but it is true.

I’m terribly excited about the game's content and have to brace myself before posting here or in Discord so as to not drop spoilers that might take away from those ‘wow’ moments that all of us like in any game.

And I can absolutely confirm for you that there will indeed be several of those. You have seen some of the images from the game by PinkSpectre and SteveArt, but you haven’t seen some of the magic that those guys have created but we can’t post just yet. When each image tells a story, that’s something beautiful and - at the risk of waxing poetic - transcendent. JeffersonSound’s music takes a fairly basic original game music and lifts and enchants it into something inspiring without being overwhelming. And of course, there’s Riam Mar’s rock solid construction. He will hate me for singing his praises, but the reImagined game would have never been possible without his deep reconstructive work that respected but repaired the original game. I don’t understand a fifth of the work he does, but the results warm my soul.

And then there’s me; I’m just a true believer who hears the stories that this game is desperate to tell. Love and friendship, lust and fantasy; it’s all there. A lot of the games out there are either slow-burn romances or bang-on lewd fast fixes. This game is less of an AVN and more of a RPG; every single one of us in One Hand Clapping is a gamer, so the influences of role-playing and story and character development are pretty much baked into each of us here.

That’s who is working hard to bring you this game. It is getting ever close to being finished, and no one will be prouder than us when it comes out.
