The Edge Of - Definitive Edition V0.3.0 - Tipsy (5$) tier [English/ 简体中文/日本語]

This was my first time playing this remastered version, and right off the bat, as I am checking the menus to see what we are cooking with, I notice the CG where Sam is about to enter waifee. And obviously, the first thing I notice is how small my brother is down there. Was he always that small? LMAO Not that I am complaining. If anything, my first reaction was to burst out laughing. I have mentioned it before, so I will not go into detail, but as a degrading connoisseur, I enjoy protagonists with tiny packages quite a lot 💀. That aside, since this is technically a replay for me and there were no modifications to the original script, I decided to try out the machine translation just to give myself a new experience. I figured I might as well see how good or bad it is. I went with Spanish. I will not go into much detail because there is too much to say (when it comes to issues), but as expected, it was not great. Tons of mistranslations, missing translations, yada yada yada, the usual. The translation also felt robotic, as is common with machine translations, and while it was rough to understand what was being said at some points, I still think it was enough to get the basic idea of whatever was meant to be conveyed. I have had way worse experiences with others machine translations 💀. Now, I want to comment on the character design real quick. The antagonist, lol. Bro got the biggest glow up ever. That boy went from looking like a dweeb to a full on fcking Chad. LMFAO. I was not expecting to be hit with potentially the most attractive villain we have had so far, and yes, even more than the one from HBHL. And now Beth. Man. It is always this type of character that hurts the most. The innocent looking, soft spoken ones are always the ones that stab you right in the heart when it comes to NTR. The voice actress fits her so fcking well it is almost uncanny. Absolutely incredible work. I had forgotten how stressful the protagonist’s perspective is in this one. The constant switching from camera to camera, the tension building bit by bit. Shit had me stressed like I was playing that one episode of Fears to Fathom (if you know, you know), the one where you are switching cameras while the home invader is inside the house with you 😔. In my opinion, this scenario is kind of wasted here since it is not a revision of the original script, just a visual revamp. That is it. Sam’s perspective on its own is not bad whatsoever. I know the pacing issues come from Beth’s POV, but we were told this was just a visual upgrade and nothing more, so there is not much else to say. Overall, I enjoyed going through this again. Sam truly hoed himself, but then again, motherfcker does not directly ask Beth anything and to top it all off, bro has cuck tendencies right from the get go 💀. Anyway, I will just leave it at that. While this project does not seem as popular, it is still much appreciated, and I seriously hope you, Hangover-san, finish it even if it takes two years or more. There is no worse feeling than going back to reread this only for it to never reach its end. Like always, I am out. Good stuff, and keep on cooking!
