Spinda Video Extra
Added 2024-04-26 19:01:01 +0000 UTCThis video proved to be a monumental undertaking beyond any of my other projects. What did you think? Do you agree/disagree/have any thoughts with what I bring up in this extra clip?
Additionally, this video is the first video in which I've noticed a fun new dead pixel artifacting thing going on with my camera, which is super fun. I hope it's a cable data transfer issue and not the CMOS chip!!! lmao!!!!
Thank you again for supporting the show on Patreon. All of this wouldn't be possible without you!

As someone who knows very well what binary is, the explanation of 2^0, 2^1, 2^2 is still a genius way to look at it for me. Like when it's explained I think "oh well duh of course", but sometimes it never sinks in to my putty brain. You said "counting in all number systems works like this", and that's also crazy to think about. I think there's something to be said about re-explaining the basics, like sharpening a knife that you know you use often. For me, it will always be good to go over basic things again because I will pick up on different interpretations. But for the sake of wide appeal and retention, it is hard to justify explaining a concept that people "already know." I don't have any recommendations because it's a hard decision either way (thank god it's not my decision to make), but I just thought I'd share my 2 cents.

It's tough, though, right, because the people who would support on Patreon likely *are* the people who would rather the video contain more explanations. So, this might not be the best group to poll, since we probably all agree hahaha Also, great pattern!!!

2024-05-02 18:45:55 +0000 UTCI understand what you mean about wanting to trim the fat of the video to get to the meat of what you're discussing, but I think that covering basics can be beneficial. My reasons are, A. If someone doesn't know what counting is, or if they could use a reminder on the topic (normally me), it is beneficial for the rest of the video, and B. The way that you explain things is both easily digestable (digestive?) and has helped me to see more simple concepts in different ways, making the complex concepts easier to understand. All of your content has been great fun to watch, hope to see more soon. PS my favorite Spinda pattern is 72000000
