Cool new update today, so let's get into it!

Player Corpses

In spirit of the spooky season, player corpses have been added! When a player dies, they will now leave their corpse behind that will be visible to other players in that room. This persists until the end of the game, meaning that anyone entering the room afterwards also sees the player's body.

Death Condition Rework

Before v7.0.20, the game would automatically end if all players have died. This had some negative consequences resulting in a premature game loss, such as the only alive player disconnecting, or the host continuing a game where they are dead.

With the new system, as long as the game detects that other players are dead, it will show a button for the host allowing them to end the game. This allows you to wait for a rescuer to come save you, if they don't meet the same fate as you that is.

Map Trails

When two rooms are connected with map markings, the path between them will now be in the same color as the room highlights. This is done as a nicer way of displaying a wanted route, and as a less bulky alternative to map drawing.

And yes, it does support animated colors

New Skins

As announced in the previous post, both The Ironclad and The Silent will be receiving a Hue skin this patch. The new skins are patreon-exclusive, and have the unique feature of changing the color based on the player's selected lobby color.

Next patch will also bring the new skins for The Defect and The Watcher!
