I transitioned from Painter to Sai, and man, am I so sticking with Sai right now. I have real wobbly hands, as evidenced in Supergirl 52 sketch. I just cant draw a straight line for the life of me..... so Sai's stabilizer is a godsend! My sketches are more uniform now (as you can see from Go-go and Tracer sketches) and I am really digging the way how the lineart looks right now. And did I mention how "light" Sai is as a program??? It never has any lagging issues whatsoever, and loading is lightning fast! Painter... on the other hand, loads so slowly!!! Granted Painter has a lot more functionality, but I pretty much only use it for lineart lol, so the rest of the functions are wasted on me, at least for now.... I may learn to pick up painting in Painter, though probably not any time soon, so dont expect to see any Painter-ish drawing in here! :P What about you guys? Any thoughts on Sai/Painter? Or you guys prefer other softwares to get the job done? Let me know in the comments!
