First Time Watching HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1

FULL UNCUT MOVIE REACTION!

First Time Watching HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1

Comments

Now let's see how many tears were shed for the finale...

Jim Schmitz

I had to check the previous comments here and on YouTube before making mine. Another breathtakingly insightful reaction and commentary. (Gee, I've missed these) In case you've never heard or discovered, the filming site of Dobby's burial has become a sort of shrine. Check it out: https://youtu.be/XGFgbHtFcQs?si=iOE-rCCM9cJJDxam

Jim Schmitz

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I hope everything is ok.

Josh

Ah okay. Makes me think maybe something happened with the dog again? Hope not

Josh

patiently waiting for part 2 🥹

Dylan

Wait where did you hear that?

Brady H

hope so! last gap was 2 months lol

Neville L

It was supposed to be up at the end of last week, so I don’t think it will be long

Josh

part 2 coming soon? :)

Neville L

Don't listen to the idiots criticising your thoughts post-movie. It's moronic to think that thoughts like the ones you two display are a hindrance to a reaction when the reaction to the movie itself isn't shortened or affected in any way at all. It seems like these people dont understand the concept of youtube... it's like they think everytime they click on a video, they're obligated to watch the entire video and they can't watch anything else until it finishes! Analysis of these movies is worth your time. Those people? They're not worth your time! Watching and listening to your journey through these movies has helped me with my mental health struggles to an indescribable extent. Not just with blocking out reality (which is not always healthy) but your willingness to show emotion to your viewers has helped me so much with my own insecurities. I wish both of you all the best and I hope you realise the extent to which your content has helped, healed and brought happiness to your audience.

Josh

we needs it

Personally I prefer watching it the way it was intended which is release order, for me even if chronologically in order kinda ruins it for me as in some movies it can be spoilers for movies too far ahead watching it too early on, just my opinion but I think the best way is release order!

Epic Legend

Wow, I can't believe he's 21 by the end of it considering how small and young he was in the first film!! I can imagine that people who watched the movies as they were being released felt like they were growing up with the characters/actors. Even we feel like so much has changed from watching the first movie until now watching the last and we're watching them all in much less time. HP is really a life-changing and beautiful experience :') - Gabi

Thank you! Shadow's howling "Hi" back and says he'll be in more videos soon too (he's working on his camera shyness haha)

Glad you made it to the end and enjoyed it! It's been way too long since we've watched our last Marvel film, but Iron Man 2 will be up within the next week and we're hoping to watch the DC film 'Joker' since people have been recommending it and there's apparently a second one coming out this fall. I think DC/Marvel is going to be the most fun to watch and analyze. Like we saw with the Dark Knight trilogy and even Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, "superhero movies" are very complex, layered and more profound than just the action (although I thoroughly enjoy the action/fight scenes, it always looks absolutely wild and incredible), so I'm actually pretty excited to have hours long conversations about those. Is there a specific sequence to follow for DC films? I know some of them are stand-alones, but maybe we still follow release dates, we're not sure - Gabi

Caley

We're grateful for the kind messages like these and hope our final HP film reaction doesn't disappoint. It will be up by the end of this week! And there's going to be a lot of emotions closing out on Harry's journey! Thank you for all of your support :) - Gabi

A few things they don’t explain in the movies: Kreacher technically belongs to Harry, as he was passed down to Harry when Sirius died. Kreacher is compelled to obey Harry. In the book, Kreacher becomes a much nicer, happier elf because Harry begins to treat him gently, which Kreacher has never experienced. The word ‘Voldemort’ has a Taboo on it, which is basically a curse that reveals the location of anyone who says the word. Death eaters know only anti-Voldemort witches and wizards would say it. They kept showing up whenever Harry or Hermione said it. The mirror shard Harry has was introduced in book 5, but for some reason it was excluded from movie 5, but they needed it for this film so just introduced it without explanation. The shard lets Harry see the other side of the mirror it comes from, so you could talk to someone through it. Sirius gave it to Harry shortly before he died; tragically, Harry could have used it to check that Sirius was okay before going to the ministry, but he was so riled up emotionally that he completely forgot about it until it was too late. Dobby has a much bigger part in the books, and is present in almost every book (aside from book one and I think book 3?). Lastly a fun fact, Harry Potter takes place between 1991-1998. Harry was born in 1980 and his parents died in 1981.

Yes 7 weasley children :), charlie (we don't meet), bill, percy, then the twins, ron and ginny. Percy we see in the first few movies as a prefect (leading the first years etc) then in the fitfh movie he works for the ministry, siding with fudge and distancing himself from his family. We see him in some of the scenes with the ministry/umbridge. After the ministry sees voldemort percy's shame over his behavior stopped him from reconciling with his family

Dylan

The fact you got Dumbledores wand without knowing what was coming in this film is great! Makes it more special!

this is actually my least favorite of the movies by quite a bit. ive watched all of them countless times and on rewatches i sometimes skip this one. I appreciate a few scenes in here but I dont like the opening at this point id like something different than polyjuice. I dont like the long and repetitive scenes in the woods, I love how they put a lot of effort into the sets in the early harry potter movies but this movie feels so bland in that regard while theyre traveling. Then i have major problems with the finale. in the books when hermione is screaming getting tortured by bellatrix Ron hears it and is so angry hes almost a liability to getting out and in the movie his reaction is so tame. I dont want to diss anyone that loves this one, I adore the dancing scene and plenty of others. ive just always felt this one misses the mark for me

by the way, Daniel was 19 when he began filming the deathly hollow and turned 21 when the film's completed (2009-2010)

I'm so happy you're back! great content as always! and say Hi to that little guy for us <3

Naya Yeesan

Deep end, enjoyed your reaction and review, really can't wait what other content you can continue to do this for, personally for me, marvel and dc

Epic Legend
