It's not well explained, but Marinette used a power called Mirage, letting her control a fake reality around her. She made a fake identity reveal to throw Chat off while she ran off for real and went home. Additionally, wearing one is like a Doctor Who perception filter, your voice in and out of suit won't sound the same to anyone if they try to pinpoint it. A certain character even starts drawing masks over people's faces and comments that 'it won't work' because the magic makes it impossible to distinguish. But computers can do it, if they're complex enough

This is a really good starting point to go to S1 Ep1. The first two seasons are a bit filler-ish but the rest of the show is so good that its worth it to build up to it.

2024-01-01 08:18:47 +0000 UTCNgl Miraculous is one of my favorite shows. Itβs got its plot holes and isnβt perfect, but nothing is. Itβs also something that youβll only ever understand when youβre watching it. Iβd love to see you keep watching! The first few seasons are a little slow, but seasons 3-5 really picked up. Also to explain the not being able to figure out each otherβs identities, thereβs this thing called quantum masking. Basically itβs magic meant to confuse human minds so that identities canβt be figured out.
