There are many more channels to write in. Similar to here, one could also ask people questions there and thus arouse interest. Interest in a product also increases the more often you read or hear about it. It doesn't always have to be "Version x is ready...". Stories about the everyday life of a stranded man in space... or about the author... or about the challenges of creating such a complex game with so many scenes... or about the damn render time to achieve such a high quality... - I know it from marketing other products: community building is an effective way. Classic PR.
