I'm on the PC-Linux version. I was able to get past the error by starting the game on the previous version and saving after the age check.

2023-06-13 03:57:09 +0000 UTCHello. So the new download links don't even have a variable called q_begun. I removed it entirely. I'm wondering when you downloaded from the Day 17 links, and if you're starting the game up from that download file and not a previous one.

They're scenes with his first girlfriend, Vespera, and his time within a strip club called Club Aegis. So... Elysium Edition may be a slightly misleading name, lol

Or does that explain some of the things about how the MC came onto the ship, or....? Somehow I'm not sure about that the Elysium thing is... is that standalone or do we put that into the game-folder, or?

2023-06-10 21:28:28 +0000 UTCI don't remember posting anything on reddit unless it was response to someone else post...I have read 1 or 2 posts that someone with Samsung phone has had issues with certain games, but I don't think they mention Renpy specifically. I have tried discord, but they seem less helpful with regards to android phone issues.

The first thing that might help will be for me to update Ren'Py to the latest build, as it seems to fix a ton of Android bugs and issues. So when Day 18 drops, I'll have an even more updated Ren'py version used to package the Android version. That might fix the crashing. 2023-06-10 21:11:10 +0000 UTCYes...alot of these games do. It may have to do with Renpy, not sure. All Renpy games that I have downloaded so far have crashing issue. Some worse than others. I had 2 or 3 that crashed on startup repeatedly and was forced to uninstall games. My phone rarely over heats unless the game has a huge impact on my battery while playing. I only had 2 that did not crash. Hustle Town & Proud Father were 2 that I did not have the issue with consistently crashing. I play alot of these adult themed games more than regular games. I think that games that are made specifically for Android seem to run better than those ported or transferred from pc or other platforms. It is a really fun game, it just a shame that crashing is an issue with these games.

AND a slut red lipstick that totally color-crashes with the pink on top of it. I almost have to puke everytime I see her. Sorry for venting, just my personal preferences :-p

No one else has really reported any consistent crashing on their phones, but it could be a case of them just dealing with it and not saying anything. The best way I can figure it out is if you can figure out a trend. Is there a way you can consistently trigger a crash? Is there a specific scene, moment or laptop interaction that causes a crash? The way you describe it, it feels like your phone is overheating and closing the app to cool down, but I'm not sure. Do other games (AVN or otherwise) crash on your phone?

2023-06-10 19:06:42 +0000 UTCThe Haylee chat bug is a really old one that I've fixed a hundred times but for some reason it still affects people. You can't chat with Haylee on D17, so ignoring that she's online will solve the issue. Whenever you reflect with Paige after a laptop chat, the game will save your position, aka remember all laptop chats you completed, should you reload from there. This is how Ren'Py works, but also one of the first things that won't ever be an issue again when Stranded in Space 2 is released (because the way I coded laptop chats is kinda dumb). Whenever you complete a girl's chat, a little S appears at the top left of their portrait. This allows you to skip to the end (or to the choices, if they ask you questions). So, if you complete a girl's chat, reload, and have to playthrough it again, you can just click the S at the top left of their portrait and skip through it.

2023-06-10 18:56:38 +0000 UTCI had crashing issues on my android phone (Samsung Galaxy A13 5G), game would crash during chats, switching between chats and either during or after animation scenes. You have done an amazing job with the animation scenes and I look forward to replaying Stranded In Space again once sound has been added to game. As frustrating as crashing was, the game saves were what kept me playing. I would save every 4-6 dialog scenes before game would crash and I would reload & continue playing. I hope that you can either fix or minimize crashing during game as this has become one of my favorites. I gave the game 3 stars due to crashing, but game easily deserves 5 stars once crashing issue is resolved.

2023-06-10 18:19:25 +0000 UTCI've got an issue with the laptop conversation with Haylee on D17 Exception: Screen Haylee_convo_d17 is not known. EDIT: Also, if you save a game in the laptop screen, it does not save that you have completed the conversations, as in, basically all conversations get marked as unread again - but not all... no idea why some do and some don't.
