Poll #4 (Music)+ Results of Additional Sex Scene Poll

After a close tally (adjustments made for tiers), the winner of the Additional Sex Scene is:

Lira!

Here's the unadjusted numbers—higher tiers get more votes, it's not as close as the unadjusted figures, but still... Gigi wasn't far behind.

With that said, the winner is Lira, and so there will be 2 sexual scenes with her in the next update.

There will be one more content related poll after this one (poll #4), so... yeah!

For now, I want to know what music you listen to while playing Stranded in Space, if any. I'm interested in the primary theme of it; what genre of music does it fall under?

I'm in the process of listening to hundreds of tracks and trying to make the right decisions for music in the game, so your input will help immensely.

Also I did use the Day 14 patch. Are there any new patches out?

Petar Vodogaz

Hi WildMan, not sure where I can report a few bugs, I'm playing Day 16, and getting error scenes in the laptop area when clicking on Skylar and then on Ishani when the MC asks her to take a picture. I click on Ignore, first time ok for a bit and then crashed back to the main menu. Also at the end of Day 15 in Ishani's room, black screen (no animations just text) whilst the scenewith Ishani was playing out. I made a few saves but have lost a lot. Till this point I had zero errors in my playthrough. I have the Endurance version.

Thanks for taking time to respond looking forward to the release

smognog

Perfect! Thanks for the response!

Remus Salvatore

I'm still finalizing the music for the Steam Release, though there have been some major breakthroughs in that department in the past week, It's getting closer, but I still can't nail down a specific time. The next two days are coming either in April or May, it depends on how the rest of the animations go. I'll post an update soon.

Wildman

I hate to be a annoyance, but do you have any eta's on the steam release or the next days?

smognog

Sorry, there's no real way to avoid characters, but you can skip any sex scene via an option in the preferences section.

Wildman

So, I'm not dissing the game... it's great. But I would like diversity in choices to not romance certain characters. Right now it doesn't really feel like a game because you are not really able to make choices...the only time you can so far I've noticed is during the laptop time but it's mostly optional. Is there a thing or option im not seeing?

Remus Salvatore

I put TV on, because I'm a millennial and my attention span is non-existent.

Awful Waffle

Mostly hard rock and metal

curtiss

I chose other because lately when I play any AVN that doesn't have its own music I also open up BAD and let the soundtrack play on random.

Gethsah

Honestly depends on the mood I'm in while playing. But usually it ends up being either lofi, electronic, or game/movie soundtracks. Nothing like the occasional Interstellar song coming on while playing haha.

Twisty Ninja

If i listen to music during an AVN, I usually like either my own playlists or lofi but when an AVN has music that is well matched to the events of the AVN, then I welcome that. One AVN that comes to mind that did that well is Leap of Faith.

Timbit

I mostly listen to electronic (Tangerine Dream etc) and chill (Sirius XM Chill channel mostly).

Scotty

As mentioned by others - If you have the option to add music to enrich the game in that aspect, go for it. I usually do enjoy the ingame music, but if I don't (or don't have mood for it), I like the option to tune it down or turn it off and put up my playlist in the background. I listen to plenty of different genres, so for me it could be pretty much any of your choices.

I think Idigina demonstrates to us "in a nutshell". Musical taste is so individualistic and therefore diverse and many listeners so inventive in their own choices and combinations that I think any music you choose to add must inevitably be incidental and its impact upon your audience's enjoyment purely coincidental. If you wish to add focused musical significance to the experience then just add it, as in movies, solely to enrich the ambience or mood of scenes and the actions of characters within them or perhaps also to enhance the characterization of individuals. Just as Gotchet, it seems, does for Umiko and also plays certain music at certain times to reflect her/his perception of certain characters' emotions and scenes (I think it is often called "mood music"). The most important consideration for us all must surely be, as you already do, to offer the Music slider on your Preferences or Options screen, so that no-one is compelled to listen to whatever accompaniment you might personally consider suitable.

Huw Gryffin

I always play something like this "Ichika Nito - Homesick" for Umiko and her serious/emotional scenes. Good luck with scoring this beast of a game.

Dominus

I appreciate the input. And damn, that's a lot of songs!

Wildman

My own playlist consists of 4500 songs and is 365 hours worth of my favorite music. No amount of curated music can compete with that. Regardless of how well it suits the scene.

Idigina

If anyone thinks the categories are weird or that something should be added/changed, let me know. Maybe I'm missing something obvious.
