Final Update/News Before Release!

Hello!

So 5 more images to see before the release.

The stats of this update have been posted before, but this release is bigger than originally believed.

Not counting animation frames, this next update is over 2k images. For my $20 Patrons, there's two Vespera scenes in this update! I quite like them!

So obviously, this all adds up to more images than the first release. This is great news for content, but it leads me into my next bit of news/decision.

As previously discussed, I'm switching up the release schedule of Stranded in Space after this update. How will it look?

About every 45 days (give or take) I should be able to release 2 in-game days of Stranded in Space. All numbers are subject to change, of course, but napkin math leads me into thinking it's viable.

There are a ton of reasons why I'm doing this, but the two biggest are A) For a better chance at reaching a bigger player-base, and B) Doing 2k images every 3 months isn't sustainable.

With that said, I'm a big fan of content. I always think about it, in fact. All I can say is, under this new release schedule, each set of 2 in game days should be fun and have a good amount of content.

I want to stress on that point again, because it's kind of my greatest selling point, and one I hope will catapult this game into a bigger audience: No one, not even Dr. Pinkcake(who I'm a fan of) is releasing as much content as I am in the timeframe I'm releasing it. I work hard, and that's all I'll say!

With this new release schedule, I'm also making the "free" version of Stranded in Space be the prior update, non-Patreon benefits version. Meaning, with the next release after this one (Days 9-13),  this one (Days 9-13) will be free to download, but with no bonus laptop convos/Vespera/alternate sex scene gallery. Or any/future Patreon benefits, for that matter. This is being done to hopefully reach a bigger audience, of course. It could change in the future, but for now this is what I'm going with.

Last bit of news: I'm switching to the "pay up front" Patreon model within the next few days. This shouldn't effect you guys, but obviously having Patreon exclusive content and not charging people immediately means someone can "support," download the content, then cancel without paying anything. To be honest, I don't really hate piracy, but you know how it goes.

I think that about covers everything! I don't want to commit to a release day just yet, but if you twisted my arm, the $20 version should be done by the 17th, meaning the $10 would be the 24th, and the $5 would be the 31st.

I'd like to end this news post by saying thank you for your support. It means a lot to me; I know I say that a lot, but I genuinely do mean it. I will always work hard for the people who support this game. See you soon! The update is so close!

First, thank you so much for the upgraded support. The exclusive content begins with the next update, which is out before April. Sorry for the confusion.

I just upgraded from $5 to $20 tier. Im already on day 4 of the game. Im playing on an android device. Do i need to download the game again, is there a code I enter or does the game just know I've upgraded and will automatically unlock the exclusive scenes?

I am happy with whatever release schedule you want to work with. As long as the content and story stay as compelling as they are this project will be awesome.

Estranged

You've got everything so well organized and prepared that you have made this kind of flexibility in planning and delivery easy to implement. Added to that is the fact that you communicate your thoughts to us so we know what is actually going on and what, in the short term at least, will be going on and what won't, which puts a natural brake on everyone's more extravagant and over-excited expectations. You also tell us what your priorities will be and what sacrifices, if any, will have to be made elsewhere in order to achieve what you plan within the aimed-for deadline. So we know what to expect and not expect, we know when we have to be, or are likely to have to be, patient and when, barring no unforeseen obstacles, we can let our anticipation and excitement run free without risk or fear of let-down. It's all very proactive and positive. Regarding "pay up front", you have a very good point about the ease of freeloading with the "pay up back" system. I once had to wait to the end of a month to cancel once I'd paid the first sub, because although I'd already decided early on that this project was not for me, I would have felt bad terminating support before I'd even paid a cent for the free access to Patreon benefits I'd hitherto enjoyed. Anyway, I wonder, have you given any thought (subject to Patreon terms, of course) to yearly subs at all, because although there is usually a customary discount attached as an incentive, this will afford you access to larger amounts up front? This seems definitely to be a longer term project and it is usually at this early stage in proceedings that significantly extra funding may help provide a boost, in terms of increasing equipment quality and thereby production speed, or adding storage or supplies or perhaps workspace capacity or whatever, which will be required or much more effective now rather than later on. Just a thought, that's all.
