small correction: asako didn't lose her ability to hear spirits, her right ear just got physically impaired. so she's half-deaf in general now. don't know if it's the same as tanaka's case, since hikaru is established to be different from the other ghoulies. he might've just given her a disability by accident, so she probably would need a standard hearing aid and whatnot, not a supernatural device like tanaka edit: in the middle of the episode, when they were at school, yoshiki was like "btw why did you come to my house at night yesterday?" and hikaru said "i don't remember", so the post-credit was showing that moment. i find it interesting that this episode there are two instances of hikaru mindlessly trying to consume yoshiki's soul, one the moment he wakes up in the hospital and the other at the very end, but it only happens after he got beheaded and "fixed" himself over the two days. we know that the creature part of hikaru is attracted to yoshiki's soul, but the only other time he tried to do something like that to yoshiki was back in ep3, when they had a big argument in the classroom and hikaru was upset and in distress. so basically i see what he's doing in this episode as a post-traumatic response: feeling like shit and reaching for the first thing that brings you comfort. he's very much trying to laugh it off too, just like og-hikaru did when they were at his dad's grave and he joked about eating the manju offerings. tanaka gave this demi-god trauma and yoshiki is his safety blanket😭
