This is our reaction to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
This is the Ultimate Edition, please make sure you are watching the correct version with us! Ian A has helpfully informed us that for those of you in the US, this version is currently streaming on Max.
Picking up from where we left off with Man of Steel and being introduced so so many cool new characters; Batfleck, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor! We had so much fun!

Oh I do hope so. Watching these movies I have such a feeling that there's so much potential to this universe but I do obviously know that the DCEU didn't manage to ever really get the lift-off they wanted for whatever reason. I feel like I'm naturally a DC fan, I love these heroes so much in the various forms I've seen them and I have high hopes for the new Superman movie! Really hope it becomes the start of something really amazing! - D

2025-02-18 21:45:05 +0000 UTCIf you like Snyders films, I would definitely recommend Watchmen (directors cut). Some people don’t like it, but I think it’s very good. Great tone and atmosphere, very different from the usual superhero stories.

2025-02-16 08:51:53 +0000 UTCDCEU has some hits and misses...the new DCU led by James Gunn is going to be all hits imo, and Matt Reeves' The Batman world could be apart of that world and we could see Robert Pattinson's Batman in the same world as the new Superman movie coming out...that would mean The Batman film and The Penguin show are the first two projects of the DCU, we will see...a new animated show Creature Commandos is out rn that is technically the start of the DCU until we find out about if The Batman is in it or in their own world...and characters will go from animation to live action with the people voicing them playing them in live action too...the Superman releases this summer, and a new season of Peacemaker releases too...The Suicide Squad (2021) and the first season of Peacemaker are in the DCEU but some characters will carry over to the DCU, that means the in the DCU those characters who were not recast will have a familiar past as the DCEU version of them, but it won't be the exact same as we seen in the DCEU...and it's only a few that will stay the same bc character like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. will be different actors with different pasts...it's a lot but when the projects come out it will be perfect.
