Aliens (1986) | Full Length Reaction

Hey everyone!

This is our first time watching Aliens (1986).

We loved this one, maybe even better than the first one! It was so much bigger in scale and so action packed!

Let us know what you think of the rest of the Alien movies, are they worth reacting to? And what about the Predator movies?

This has been recorded in a watch-along format. You will need your own copy of the movie/tv show.

Did not know Blade Runner was same universe! That's maybe another one for us to check out! - D

I'm late to the game, but you could watch Prometheus and Alien: Covenant as they are pretty okay prequels to these films and set up some interesting questions about the universe. They are not anywhere near as good as Alien or Aliens, but pretty okay. Also, technically this is the same universe as Blade Runner, so there's that. The newest one, Alien: Romulus, is the best film outside the original two and does a great job of capturing the essence of the originals. You can skip all the others (Alien 3, Resurrection, AvP, etc.) unless you just want to see all things Xenomorph!

Lmao we haven't seen Niamh break like that before, and all from an eviscerated android slowly flopping out an airlock 🤣 Great react as always, Aliens is considered a classic for good reason. To me that last fight with the queen is one of the most iconic in action movie history. The rest of the films range from fine to dumb, but they don't have anything that rises to the level of the first 2 imo. The next one in the series (Alien3) does keep Ripley's arc going, and it brings back the slower suspense tone from the first one, just with less budget. It is not loved by the fans because it is much darker and depressing than Aliens, but I like it for all its flaws. After that the series gets very patchy, but there still some dumb fun to be had.
