This is our first reaction since taking a week or so off for Christmas and we're starting back off with a bang - It's Ridley Scott's Alien (1979)!
Incredibly gripping, tense, with plenty of jumps, it's an amazing introduction to what we know has become a huge franchise. Sigourney Weaver was iconic as Ripley, supported by an amazing small cast of interesting characters.
We definitely want to see more of these movies so let us know if you think they'll be worth reacting to!

We loved it! Definitely thinking about watching some of the others - if they're any bit as good as this was I'm sure we will - but there are a lot of them so we will have to see π

2025-01-01 23:36:17 +0000 UTCGreat choice. Fantastic film. Nearly 50 years ago and it still holds up. I'll be completely invested if you do the rest of them--as for wider series/spin-offs, I'm not so sure. Haven't seen a lot of those so can't comment on whether they are any good.
