Update - I'm Back!

Hey all,

First of all, I want to apologize for disappearing for the majority of this past year. I'd wanted to come back several times during this time, but there's really no way around it, I was burnt out. I thought that if I took a month or so off then I'd come back feeling refreshed, but that month kept dragging on, and each time I sat down to put mouse to Blender, the motivation just eroded. I'd gotten numb to furiously animating over the course of a few days, as if I was trying to reach a quota, turning what used to be a fun and creative outlet into a second job. And so, when my day job began to ramp up, the last thing that I wanted to do when I got back home was head back in to work. I kept putting the pin-ups and animations off because I wanted to get in the right headspace and enjoy what I was creating, but times I found that spark were few and far between.

However, over this year, I spent a lot of time with friends, family, and trying to learn new skills, and I think that that's what I had been missing when creating content. The lack of balance that I pushed on myself kept making me search for excuses to avoid creating, and the times I was able to shackle myself to my desk were spent on half-hearted attempts that came out bland and forced. Lately however, I've been feeling that spark come back, and that twinge to begin creating again became stronger. It may take a little bit to get back into the swing of things, but after a long and varied hiatus, I'm feeling a lot more inspired and willing to animate again.

So what's next?

Well, after a long break you really ought to ease yourself back into things right? Take your time, set attainable goals, and balance your stress?

Well, maybe next month, because November's right around the corner and I didn't want to let another year go past before Nerf This November returned! Starting tomorrow (Nov 1st), I'll be (hopefully) posting daily for the month of November as we keep tabs on DVa as she gears up for a month of swelling restraint. Similar to before, I'll also plan to post on X/Twitter to keep up with the event, and I'll try to add some extra pics here on Patreon when I can!

Also, I'll be posting a few scraps + pins that I had put together earlier this year. I'd made a few sequences over the past few months that I wasn't sure I wanted to post until I was ready to come back in earnest, and although November will be a bit of a flood of content I want to start to make up for the backlog and focus on what's next.

To those who supported me throughout this year, I really appreciate it. I should have posted what I was feeling and taken a proper break, and I'm truly sorry to have left you all hanging. I hope that I can repay you all with some long overdue content, and I'd love to get back into making monthly Pin-Ups once November's event ends.
