The people of Frostgaard grew up hearing an ancient legend: Their kingdom was born in the territory that the Elves left behind. Between what was true and what became myth, only one thing was common to all: The elves created another kingdom beyond the oceans, leaving Frostgaard to the humans.
After the Cataclysm War, where Frostgaard barely survived, while everyone was rebuilding the nation, two great elven ships landed on the southern beaches. 120 Elves, wounded, sick, and exhausted. Queen Anties welcomed them, cared for them, and integrated these elves into the community of men.
The elves told the people of Frostgaard little about what had happened to them. Also, language was a great barrier. The elves had forgotten the language of men and men the language of elves. Only the Earth Witches' House still mastered Ancient Elvish, but it was different from the current elvish language. Kadi'el ended up being the intermediary between the two peoples.
She was an elf who was the High Warrior of the ancient Elven Kingdom of Santhysgaard. Her mission was to protect the King and Queen. She did not want to tell Queen Anties or the Earth Witch the details, only that a civil war destroyed the entire kingdom. Her last mission was to take Princess Syni'd and the entire royal and arcane court northward. Anties decided to cede the Forest of Berh so that they could have a home and recreate their nation. She named the Order of the Earth as the protector of that region, also responsible for protecting the elves who lived there.
300 years have passed since the Elves arrived, many scattered to other parts of the continent, but Kadi'el remains steadfast in her mission to protect the princess and seek revenge for what happened in Santhysgaard.
