Work Sucks, I know

First of all I thought I left high school drama in high school, seems not to be the thing as I am now ignored at work by most of my co-workers. I have also been wanting to be cross-trained in a position and keep getting overlooked, then someone with less experience and seniority than me was asked to put in cross-training by a supervisor and the manager just said yeah ok. Than I asked and was told I needed support from all 7 managers. When I said I could just talk to the department head who I talked to 2 weeks ago and is enthusiastic about seeing me succeed I was told that her talking to me would be beneath her...by the manager I asked. Not sure what to do when 70% of the people I work with are assholes.

I feel this so much...it's the reason I left my first job. Was literally doing my bosses job when he was sick/off/on his honeymoon/whatever, and when he left the company, the position was given to another lady who was friend with the manager and needed a job. They then proceeded to ask me to teach her everything and get the place over a month behind in data processing and run 3/4 of the department out of the company due to poor managing skills. My second job was also the same, where I got overlooked to move to better shiofts or be given promotions because I was too good and knew my stuff too well they were scared for their job. When the old manager hires you because he sees you as running the department when he retires get laid off and the new manager doesn't have the same background and is just trying to keep their job, it doesn't go well for people who know what they're talking about. Ended up getting "laid off" due to the pandemic, not because of lack of knowledge or performance but bc she felt threatened by my knowledge. Message me if you wanna vent/chat about anything like this...I've been through it all
