Seraphine is the older sister of Queen Madeleine. A skilled warrior with extensive knowledge of Margaux's ancient history, Seraphine was enticed by the myth surrounding the power that the Tome of Destruction bestowed upon its possessor.

Her desire to find it led to an obsession that drove her to study ancient necromantic magic after discovering Lorraine's sarcophagus. Armed with forbidden books, Seraphine founded a cult to possess the Tome of Destruction and fulfill the final wish of the leader of the Witches' Order.

Madeleine, still the war heroine known as the Golden Knight, managed to thwart her sister's plans, leading to Seraphine's excommunication and expulsion from the kingdom of Margaux by the Bishopric. Many considered it a lenient punishment for someone studying forbidden magic and attempting to overturn the current societal status quo.

Today, Sister Clémence's main suspicion is that the current High Clergy of Margaux is under Seraphine's command or that of one of her acolytes. Since her expulsion, Seraphine has never been seen again, but her shadow looms daily, as before her expulsion, several members of the royalty witnessed her conjuring magic thought to be extinct for centuries
