Need Some Advice

Hey everyone,

Can't say guys anymore since I now have female patreons as well and don't know if that's sexist if I just lump everyone in as "guys". Anyways, I have to make a decision now with my writing and could use all of your feedback on it. Do I:

A) Start editing the previous books releasing an edited chapter a week.

B) Keep writing as I have been.

C) Get some editors to do it for me while I keep writing.

The issue is...it's now 2 books that have to be edited and that's like 100,000 words or more...what's going to happen when I add another book to that. What do you guys think I should do?

Only you can put down what is in your head. Getting the story out is not something anyone else can do. I am sure there are plenty of us that will help you edit. So I would suggest C

Ben Reff

I reckon C. We did start doing that before if I remember correctly. 😊

Ferris Beuller

Lets cover the "guys" thing. It used to be okay, non-generic, but a bunch of whiners got together and decided is was some kind of "phobic". How about going South with "y'all". That covers all sexes, I think. Also, I tend to agree with the others, you can edit, rewrite and never get it perfect, so let it go and move on. Just my opinions of course.

Dean Lanouette

C: seems best of both. Creatives tend to obsess when it really is good enough and I'd hate to see you burn out on revisions instead of covering new ground.

Bridgette

So you think I should go with B?

As long as people can read, it should be fine. I say go ahead and keep writing, you can always come back to edit later
