Added 2020-08-15 14:20:22 +0000 UTCI can't believe it's taking me this long just to write the prologue for my third book, I'm only 1000 words in and its felt like I've written 4 chapters. Between the burn out, and exhaustion from work I don't know what else could it be, am I just losing my touch?

My vote is, you're not allowed to cum until you write either a new chapter or a new one off story. That should motivate you. :)

If not, then as an occasional writer myself, I’d suggest literally writing anything. Write about the cars outside your window. Write about your frustrations about not writing. Write about what you want to be writing. Just type. Stephen King writes 10 pages a day but he gives himself permission to toss it all. Don’t worry if what you are typing is any good. You’re talented enough it will be eventually.
