However, gradually, the conscious androids began to rebel against the Zorxians, realizing that their rights were not respected, and their lives were rejected by society.
Scientists of the time did not agree on whether Normanda, in creating consciousness over centuries, also created a flaw in her programming that compelled her to protect Zorxian and its inhabitants, or if it was a deliberate action where she managed to disable this command. However, after the destruction of a group of androids protesting at the Scientific Council's door, Normanda declared war on Zorxian, thus beginning the Annihilation Era.
With control over all military systems on the planet, Normanda devastated entire cities, destroyed colonies on planets and moons near Zorxian, and established a state governed by androids for decades.
