Added 2021-11-09 01:03:08 +0000 UTCYes I pick at my prints while they print. I am the worst. But…… I’m hoping to have Conan the barbarian done for this Sunday’s video. Also does anyone have anything they want to suggest printing wise for the mid week printing video? Anything they wanted to see more detail on or hear what I have to say about that side of the hobby? I may use your idea in a video soon.
I have decided I will reply to that winner for the wet palette and then if they don’t get back to me in two weeks we run the wet palette giveaway again.
And just because I can’t pack enough crap into this tiny post. … our discord is going great so far. Ok I’ll make a video on fdm in the future. That’s a tough topic because it’s so huge. But for the plate I don’t use any glues and I don’t use a flex plate either. When I started I went through the glue phase until you learn that the prints not sticking due to mechanical problems like not level bed, nozzle height, temperature etc but once you dial those in you won’t need glue. I had more problems with glue than I did without and it’s messy for no reason. I’ll try do a bidoe on specifically getting prints to stick to the plate at some point. Thanks for the suggestion dude.

2021-11-09 01:47:14 +0000 UTCBig base!! One topic(s) for FDM printers is materials to print with (PLA vs ABS for example. Maybe how you get the bottom layers to stick well and then get the damn print off at the end. I had to use some pretty awesome glue from Vision Miner but it almost works too well and I have a hard time getting the print off the print plate. Do you use a flexible metal plate that you can add on? Was thinking about that.
