Faking time warp with samplv1 and Ardour 5

Here's a short video showing an interesting way to mangle your recordings with samplv1 libre sampler plug-in. You could do this with any DAW supporting LV2 plug-ins, automation and MIDI sequencing, I'm sure you could even do this live, by playing a looped MIDI sequence into the sampler and turning a knob to advance the virtual "playhead".

Now that I think of it... that could be very cool for live performance!

Anyway - enjoy this short tutorial.
You an also download the finished Ardour session to play with it yourself.

Really interesting tutorial, unfa!

Thanks! I think these V1 plug-ins use Qt directly to draw the UIs. Samplv1 supposedly allows drag'n'drop-ing a sample in, but it didn't work for me. I guess I should report that problem.

Very interesting tutorial. Also, got to love the good old interoperability between KDE apps and GTK apps. On GTK filechoosers, if you hit CTRL+L, you can edit the "Location". Drag and dropping a file inside the file list (the main part) might also work too.
