If you know me, you know ZynAddSubFX is my favorite software synthesizer. I have made entire albums with only it. It's the most powerful open-source synthesizer in existance - and also I believe - one of the most powerful synthesizers period.

Mark McCurry has taken over ZynAddSubFX, after years of stalled development, and he has done amazing things with it. Both under the hood and in terms of UI development, building the new single-window interface.

The new "Zyn-Fusion" interface has finally been fully open-sourced, and I wanted to make this interview to celebrate and promote that event, as I think it's an important milestone in open-source music production.
