2024-07-20 15:04:30 +0000 UTCThey really do all genres as well. In the beginning, most of their stuff was what a lot of fans call “Freshteen”. Where, as you have noticed, it’s fun, upbeat, teeny bop kind of love songs. Probably around Boom Boom they start to get a little bit of edge. And I think Don’t Wanna Cry was another one that was a bit of a departure from the Freshteen. And they eventually go pretty dark when they reach their “Darkteen” era with Fear, one of my all time favorites. Keeping in mind that this album with Fear also had Hit and Snap Shoot. All three of those songs couldn’t be more different from each other. And then you have just straight up 90s singing in the rain R&B slow jams. Songs like I Don’t Know, Fast Pace, and Good to Me. And then there’s something like Home;Run that kind of defies the norm and goes jazzy Broadway show tune. So rather than picking a genre they do well, it’s probably easier to pick your favorite song from each genre they do.

2024-07-20 03:26:29 +0000 UTCSeventeen is definitely most known for their early fresh young boy concept like this since it was rare back in the day. They started introducing the darker edgy concepts much later on. Also, definitely should check out the dance practices too!
