This week went freaking AMAZING! 7 Chapters written and 4 are already scheduled. Three more to edit from my partner, which I’ll get done today. I just couldn’t wait to write this up and talk to ya’ll.
I also worked on a cute little bonus for the ebook when it launches in November. It involves Indigo and the day she arrived at the shop. I figured it’d be a cute thank you for everyone, but holding onto it until November is going to be rough.
Writing from Indigo's POV is tough because dragons are very alien. Their motivations, desires, and growth curve differs greatly from most creatures. When they are little food is important, but for them to truly grow they need whatever they ‘hoard’. In her case, knowledge.
Cold weather is creeping in, and my gardens struggling. I’m harvesting what I can and turning beds over to cover crops. Outside work is a good offset from sitting at my desk.
I really need to break out my flannels and retire my tank tops, but I don’t want to let go of summer just yet. July and August vanished and I don’t know where they went. That’s not quite true, they went to travel, conferences and illness.
I love fall and usually cannot wait for cider, flannels, and throw blankets, but this year I’m hesitating. I don’t know why. Hopefully, I figure it out and embrace the cooler weather. Though as soon as I do that we’ll have a warmer week and the mental battle will start all over again.
