Mega Swampert was slower because in gen 6, the action order locks in based on the pokemon's speed stats at the start of the turn, so your Mega Swampert was still using regular Swampert's speed stat for that turn, and the rival's probably just has a better nature/IV's or won the "speed tie".

2025-08-19 07:23:52 +0000 UTCDon’t take offense to this but it just seems like you’re taking more risks than you need to in this playthrough than you do in your normal nuzlockes which just costs you the mons you need to actually beat the gym leaders. Like betting that archeops was faster was not a good play where you could have easily went into aggron. Idk you just need to play it safer that’s all. The OP mons keep dying to dumb stuff because you’re rushing through the battles and taking unecessary risks
