Docks District

Greetings, adventurers!  Just on the brink of the vast and volatile sea lies the mighty Docks District.

Crowded, plank platforms of the port are the heart of every maritime city and town - not only are they responsible for carrying the trading goods but also welcome all of the unique crews. Many homes and taverns have grown around the port, so life in the area is never boring.

Docks District is a map designed for small, urban skirmishes as well as being a backdrop for trading scenes. A large body of water and plenty of gaps may generate interesting opportunities that could be used during combat.

Repair your net, say farewell to your loved ones, eat up in the inn and get ready to embark on a journey from the Docks District!

Adventure hooks ideas:

- The guards are having a hard time lately. A large group of smugglers has taken over the port. Undercover of leading humble businesses they smuggle bombs and magical weapons for the local criminal syndicates. Sergent Gumpel is offering decent rewards for any information regarding the unruly group. Although the gig seems easy rumor has it that so far the gang is doing great at protecting their business.

- The merelings attacked! Yesterday the waves of the sea started growing and trembling. Then the enemy sprung out on the land. The common folk got killed, the goods got stolen, the infrastructure got smashed. Those who survived managed to evacuate from the district and call the guards. Now every sword is needed to fend off the danger.

- Sometimes trade is more brutal than a formal, common war. The arena for this struggle is the docks district. The fighters don't use swords but words, they don't deal damage but goods, finally they don't die but simply bankrupt. Yet due to some odd mistake you, a band of common mercenaries, got vacuumed into this swirl of treason and ruthlessness.

"Docks District" [33x62] has 14 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions) and 13 assets (ready for Roll20, Foundry VTT or your favourite VTT platform).
