Farthest Outpost

Hi everyone! 

This is our first FREE map this month. We present you "Farthest Outpost" (30x40) with has 12 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions) and 56 assets (ready for Roll20, Foundry or your favourite VTT platform).

The last stronghold on the border of the empire. Within its walls, brave warriors protect themselves from barbaric hordes, which only wait for the defenders' mistake.

An ideal map for the DM, who wants to introduce an atmosphere of isolation, danger and helplessness to his / her session!

In the post, silence is usually a desirable state, although today it was exceptionally drilling into the ears. The murmurs of the forest or a distant stream usually came from somewhere in the distance, but now it was difficult to hear even a fly.

In all the eerie atmosphere, when everyone, including the animals, is asleep the brain can start playing tricks. Is the neighing of horses any different? Or are they just dreaming of the beautiful meadows they will end up in after their service? Everyone can dream, but for now, everyone has a responsibility to defend these lands.

Finally, in that silence, the rain came, water droplets began to tap vividly against the stone walls and paths, and the torches lit along the walls began to dim slightly, resisting the drizzle. Along with the rain came refreshment and slight smiles appeared on the sentinels' faces - maybe getting wet was not the most pleasant thing in the world, but the human psyche is not used to such unnatural silence.

However, in the post, everyone should be ready regardless of the circumstances. In the dim light and with the view blurred by the falling drops, no one noticed how one of the guards fell asleep due to a single spell sent from the lower floor. Then, from the same place, a figure threw a rope into the darkness, which several new figures climbed up and quickly dispersed into the shadows. 

Silently, masked by the noise of the rain they dealt with the guard and then rushed deeper into the guardhouse looking for their target. Without killing or harming anyone, they moved forward in search of the captain, for he was responsible for much confusion among the military elite. Apparently, his ideas didn't clash with the king's vision, but his actions spilled enough blood to cause a reaction.
