The roadside tavern is where adventures begin and end. Players can rest there, eat something and listen to information from local people. They can also hear the bard's song, read the ad hanging on the wall or get into a fight. The tavern is a place where a lot can happen.

Every adventure needs quiet walls of the tavern. The bard needs a place to earn money, the warrior needs a drink, and the hunter needs to refill his supplies.
This one is settled on the track, where no one stays for more than a day, so it’s quite a good place to search for the next job. Sometimes travelers write ads about the events happening in the near future and others are looking for companions traveling in the same direction as them.
You come here when the sun is still up, and after a short talk with the innkeeper hot stew and beer lands on your table. There are not many people around - maybe three or four seats are taken, so it’s pretty quiet here. The ads are about the fire festival in the nearby village and someone is looking for a party heading south, to join a mercenary group for the local warchief.
Looking at your gear you might join them, but is it really worth it?
Suddenly the sky goes dark and the temperature drops to the point where your breath is visible.
The innkeeper jumps from the backroom and shout
- Lock the door! Quick!
And the redhead woman sitting the closest to them slams the table into the door, blocking them from opening.
- If you have any god on your side it’s time to pray. They are here for me, but I’m not going down without the fight!
And as he speaks he takes out an old book with a cover made out of skin, stitched with a dark thread.
In the front of the inn you see skeletons rising from the ground, and their glowing blue eyes are staring deep into your soul, sending chills down your spine.
The innkeeper starts chanting in the ancient language, the fireplace is raging and the temperature inside the building is rising again.
What did the innkeeper do to anger the spirits? Does he belong to the realm of the living or the dead?
With the map of the inn, you can expand this story further and add a little more spice to the resting place on the track!
