Giant rats, also known as dire rats, were dangerous creatures. They were much larger than the common rat and were found in dungeons and city sewers. Giant rats are just like normal rats except they are giant, as the name suggests.

They make all of the rules and get into trouble. often preying and stalking at night. If the giant rat isn't an overgrown brown rat, but a separated species entirely.
