Sometimes fate will take players into the city. Instead of being crazy about architecture, it is worth getting to know the best places in the city - such as exclusive houses on the bridge, for example. Built for the wealthiest citizens, with their own access to their own marina.
Maybe players can help catch a criminal robbing houses at night or solve the mystery of the death of a young girl who threw herself off the bridge (and now appears at night?)
" Houses On The Bridge" [30x30] has 2 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions, ready for Roll20, Foundry or your favourite VTT platform).

Sometimes between the quests there’s a time when the party has to stop in the city. It may be a capital or smaller city in the end of the world, but in most cases wherever the city is - it has more than enough to offer for the adventurers.
Let’s take a look at the streets of Zazzepsur, a city on the west coast of the continent.
Official capital of Tethyr and an important point on the map for the traders from around the world. The river cuts the city in half, but it’s possible to cross it through by multiple bridges!
Of course the world hates the void, so even on the bridges you can spot houses, shops, or valleys full of flower pots, benches and other adjustments for the locals.
For someone who has never been here before it might be overwhelming - sellers promoting their goods by shouting and presenting them in the most aggressive way and the crowd willing to buy is scary if you don’t have someone to guide you.
For a few coins you can hire a professional who can help you in this chaos, but be careful, there’s a bunch of imposters!
The air is filled with the smell of salt, seafood and fishes, no matter what time of the year it is. In the summer you can spot people trying to catch something from the river below from their windows, but in the winter traders from the north come with barrels full of salted squids and meat from the whales.
City like this might be a great start for the adventure on the sea as a mercenary or a pirate!
But let’s focus on the bridges again - they are a great place for setting a trap. It’s up to you who’s going to set it and who’s going to fall into it. Do the players hunt for someone, or the bandits are trying to get players gold?
Everything is up to you, use your power wisely and make a story to remember!
