Lines of action
Added 2022-04-08 15:24:47 +0000 UTCA drawing has to tell a story. Lines of action are very important to achieve that. Here there are two main lines of action: Dirk´s body leaning towards the burger and the burger itself about to be eaten. Both lines converge tors Dirk´s mouth, which is a very meaningful element in his illustration. I went flexible and curved the stool to enhance Dirk´s movement. The ingredients of the burger dropping create a kind of trail that describes the trajectory of the burger. In order to top off the action, Dirk´s features (eyes, upper lip, and lower lip) follow those secondary lines of action that converge tors the burger.
I thought that perhaps you would like to know what´s behind my art and what elements make them expressive

Yeah! Those are elements that might not be perceived consciously by the viewer. However, they can make a drawing especially appealing or expressive when managed wisely. I´m glad you like it : )
