After wrapping up some anatomy studies, I wanted to flesh-out this sketch that I've been sitting on for a couple of days. The pose here is a little goofy, but there's a fun and whimsical energy to it that I was really drawn to.
Posing a character isn’t just about standing still. They can be mid-action, leaning, twisting, or even floating. Floating poses are especially fun because they break free from gravity- no need to worry about balance or weight distribution. You can stretch, twist, or curl them up in ways that wouldn’t work on solid ground, making for some seriously fluid and dynamic characters🔥
