July 2024. Mini Update
Added 2024-07-23 16:39:51 +0000 UTCA full update and Q&A is on its way but I wanted to send you this mini update in the meantime. This will explain much of what's been going on that's caused the delay. All good now though so I'll be back on it soon.

Hope it all gets better soon which is sounds like it is, sure all will be ok. Just concentrate on getting yourselves in a good place and things will slowly get back to normality, if anything is normal these days! Best to Gemma, you all take care and don't worry Gary, life has a habit of throwing a spanner or two at you from time to time, just remember to duck! All the best.

2024-09-05 13:49:38 +0000 UTCI can relate to the issue of having a seriously depressed spouse at times. It's no joke, especially when you've no-one else you can talk to. Was fascinated to hear about the estrogen-tablet "fix" you mentioned, fingers crossed you can find a dose that works, if that's having an actual effect for her. As people say above, family first. We appreciate the update, and totally understand how real life gets in the way of ( trivial by comparison ) things like this site. Hopefully there's light at the end of the tunnel for you all. Hopefully the holiday will help, even if you didn't feel like going in the first place - just simple things like not having to work on anything, or think about making meals because of eating out - it all helps. xx

I’m glad you were able to address the mood issues because that is a crazy wild ride that no one deserves….. I hope the holiday brings you much peace and laughter.

No wonder you look a bit like someone's worked you over (no offense... 😊) Well, I guess I won't be whining about the redos of Exile and Sacrifice anymore then like a spoiled li'l bugger, since uh... you've kind of been dealing with far more important stuff to say the bloody least. We all love you man, you know that... How else would we have put up with all these morbid, depressing albums you've been putting out, you cheerless B@stard! I’m sure that everyone here would agree that your music is phenomenal and well worth waiting any length of time for. As long as you’re still writing and performing you will always have many many loyal fans so we will keep. Just concentrate on getting Gemma better then come back fighting - we will be right here waiting with baited breath for the next album because we love you and everything you do 🥰💖 xxxxxx

I’ve worked in the NHS all my life and we were always taught the NHS was for everyone , I can’t believe they wouldn’t do that scan awful , things have changed so much though and it’s on its knees . Glad to hear things have taken a more positive turn . The kids with the teenage stuff , been there done it , All part of being a parent , it’s hard when they’re babies you think but you know where they are what they’re doing etc and you realise that was the easy part 😊 it’s good that you’ve taken time out for this update but , do what you have to do , you give a lot to us fans but life has its turns and it’s time for you and your family , and your holiday may just be what you needed , even if it means just laying on the beach etc . Take care and love to you all . Onwards and upwards as they say , doesn’t matter if we only saw you last week at a gig , we miss you anyway , that’s just the way it is . We can wait too though we’ve got a lot to keep us going until you’re ready . safe travels too whether it’s holiday , going home , look forward to hearing your update only when you’re ready , it’s understandable .

I’ve had a disc in my neck replaced in the same way the surgeon told you about, new thing I ever did was agree to that op, I’ve been so much better since.

2024-07-23 19:29:38 +0000 UTCFamily come first I agree, however, the stroke unit didn't come down to see Gemma as her signs and symptoms were more than 4 hours old. The Nurse and Dr looking after Gemma's care would have explained that. I've never ever heard any A&E depth in any NHs hospital telling a patient to "sort out your own MRI because you're American now" you need to raise a concern with the NHS Trust. There's policies in place so every single human on this planet gets the right treatment at the right time no matter where your passport is issued. I do think its a tad unfair for anyone to say the NHS is shit.

I also lost my Dad two years ago and have gone through the menopause hoopla, but to have all these other things as well coming to a head at the same time, I am sure that has been unimaginably difficult for the two of you. You need that holiday! As others have said already, take your time, family first always. When are the albums ever on time anyway? 😁 That matters so little compared to mental and physical health.
