I really appreciated your thoughtfulness in score selection in this audio (LBR, in all of your audios... but it stood out to me when I re-listened to this one). The sex scene here could easily have read as just a casual hookup but the score you chose would indicate otherwise -- it does a lot of the heavy lifting with emotional intimacy and the implied backstory with Oaker and Investigator and sets it up nicely for the reveal at the end of the audio. (Also, FWIW, minor key sex scenes are always ~chef’s kiss~ in my book.) Looking forward to learning more about whatever the hell is happening with my boy Everett, especially after this one and the end of Traction!

It reaffirmed that trust and connection to later emphasize the shock of the situation. It makes sense that she zeroed in on the identity and not, ya know, the action. Because she DOES know him, despite what gets unearthed. "It's just me, your Oaker" is also a poignant contrast to the fact that he's NOT hers because they can't be together. Well, Kieran isn't hers, but Oaker is. To her, he's Oaker; he's hers. And ultimately, he IS Kieran. Related, his fastidiousness in this ("I'm sorry about the mess") also contextualizes his character to the present moment and gives distance to "Little Things," where he and *that* character didn't mind getting messy. Sad!sexy!clever contrast that informs how much has changed. Poor wolfy.

Auditory interstitials. Everett lore. And of course all the sfx happening in the the final scene! The setting and the detective style set-up also give "Sheep's Clothing" it's own unique... ecosystem within the CONTINUUM. It has it's own palette that's different from the other boys AND from the later Kieran pieces (because of course, so much has happened to him at that point in the timeline). Which, brings me to my favorite motif of this... (patreon keeps eating my comments)

I’ve listened to this, let’s just say “several” times and I feel like there’s something new I notice and appreciate each time I listen. It could be something you say which I didn’t catch previously or it could be a new appreciation of the sfx and music in a specific scene. Your ability to pick music to elevate/underscore specific scenes and have it blend in perfectly as though you wrote the scene specifically for that music, continues to amaze me. Of course I loved the whole Crime Scene Identification aspect of the story. 📸🩸 The cameo and mention of other characters has me needing to make a run to your timeline so I can check out a couple of bizarre questions and theories that have popped into my brain. I always love a good laugh in the middle of a crisis and your delivery of, “Oh…ohhh Baby. Please never mind me fuckin’ accent. How ‘bout let’s just focus on the giant wolf-people wresting to death in the middle of Banter Memorial, please?…okay? Would that be okay? For right now? Just right now?”, had me LOL-ing. Bottom line…This was SO good, Tom. I loved it! The Banter-banter, the CSI part of things, the fight scene and of course the sticky-fucky stuff which was super hot and super sweet. (Insert TombanLaid here). It made me want to know more about their relationship and their past together. You’ve knocked another one out of the park, Tom.
