I will say that I had to actively listen for it because it fits so perfectly that it almost blended into the background for me. Which, I think, is maybe a sign of a good score--that it fits so well with the story that it's almost imperceptible until further listening? Maybe I'm just making excuses. - The shipwreck scene was SO well done. The groaning of the metal, the water rushing, the explosions, the sheer panic. I understand the feeling of absolute feeling of dread. - The narrative style that you used in this audio was so new and unique. I love how you're exploring and expanding the limits of the genre. Being able to hear the listener's point of view, even with only your voice as narrator was SO exciting. - Finally, my favorite part. Their relationship dynamic and the ways that you explored it and forced the listener to confront what the characters were doing was INCREDIBLE. The trauma and stress that pushes them away from one another in the beginning, their eventual reconciliation, the softness that comes along with that and the implied motives that led to said reconciliation. Also, placing the shipwreck scene where you did to really drive home the intensity of the scenario? UGH. I'm mad. (I'm not, it's great.) Anyways, I know that you like exploring new relationships and dilemmas that may come along with them. (Ethics, anyone??) There are so many ways to explore "forbidden love" and the fact that you're really just scraping the surface of possibilities is SO exciting!

"I like the feeling I get when I see him at camp waiting for me..." that entire entry, short as it was, melted my heart. 💛 His gentleness after the initial frustrating days on the island... I can't, my heart.. 🥲 Sure, her shoulders have dropped and she's not afraid of him anymore, but he also changed.. He relaxed a little, less frustration, more care and concern.. Its like he figured he's not going to be rescued, might as well make the most of it. The voice drop gets me everytime.. When I close my eyes, I can picture this island, the birds, the waves, the fire.. It's so wholesome.. These two are in such a precarious position though.. They love their partners but they are faced with the almost sure possibility that they might never see them again.. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. The transitions from diary entries to flashbacks to the present moment... I am awestruck.. Hats off to you Sir. The shipwreck scene.. Words fail me.. Is there a limit to your creative genius? Not me crossing my fingers that the rescue ship/helicopter doesn't show up in the middle of fucking, with her husband and Carla in tow.. 😫 Also, the wound goes from his shoulder to his hip, huh? Where have I heard that before? 👀 You made me relisten to that other audio to confirm. 🙃 TL:DR - I don't know how you can top this audio.. This is your magnum opus.. 💛

I don’t know if you had this theme SPECIFICALLY in mind when you wrote it, but I have always been fascinated by “arranged” or “inevitable” relationships, such as arranged marriages, and how two people forcibly brought together can come to truly love each other over time. I think you explored it beautifully. Lastly, I would feel privileged and blessed if I were to be stranded on an island with you, and I can offer you no higher compliment than that 🤙🏼❤️☺️

First of all, I was super excited for this dynamic to be explored because of the extraordinary circumstances that threw them together. I was not let down. I'm so in love with the idea of this pairing acknowledging the past, but accepting the present (there's also the juxtaposition against BYLM, but I'll rant about that another time). Secondly, the soundscaping in this is absolutely incredible. From the fall from the tree where we can literally hear you get closer to the ground, to that immersive moment with the shipwreck... Absolutely amazing. The transitions through time, the development of the characters... Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm going to end up going in circles with this comment, but what it boils down to is that this was truly a cinematic experience, and it's probably in my top 5 favorite audios from you.
