For the majority of you, a defining characteristic of my audios has been my sound design (cinematic soundscaping), in addition to my plotting. I have released more stripped down audio with bare SFX or BGM as patron early access or patron only audios and all of them have been met with positive reaction. Please check all that apply:
Added 2020-11-16 15:39:16 +0000 UTCPlease, for me, it would mean a lot if you could comment with a short blurb about what caught your attention (which audio, or acting, or soundscape, etc) about me and why you continued to listen. This feedback is important for shaping the future of my work and I trust no group more than you, my patrons and my team 🙏🏻

hi new listener 💕 when i started listening to you i first noticed the music in some of your audios. i can’t really pinpoint it, but it scratches a certain itch in my brain ajdhdjs. your audios give me a lot of serotonin and your sound design is by far my favorite out of the va’s ive listened to. imma need a spotify playlist of all the songs you put in your audios so i can have that little serotonin boost when i need it. with love, ana ! 💕

2020-12-07 06:35:09 +0000 UTCThe sound design, the voice acting and plot does it for me, you know exactly what to say, when to say and how to say it with the perfect props to go with it...i have one crazy and vivid imagination and i don’t even have to try while listening to you and i absolutely love it...You have me for keeps Sir :-)

2020-11-20 10:57:53 +0000 UTCWell, I respect anyone's decision to leave, though I honestly believe this comment was made with a severe lack of effort in looking through my library. I am not sure which platform was searched, but being a primarily GWA artist, I feel like I have one of the lease BDSM or [Rape] type audio portfolios out of all of the M4F artists. I will go so far as to say that I make some of the softest content available in this category (M4F). If we are speaking of ONLY MDom labelled content, then of that selection I guess I am just not to former patron's taste--however, I am not a purely Mdom artist and would say Mdom is in the minority of what I produce, and so I am truly perplexed by this bizarre comment. Farewell, in any case, I suppose. I wish this person luck in finding the content they desire.

2020-11-20 10:43:34 +0000 UTCThe sound design is so so lovely, but for me I guess, there's a difference between soundscape-type sound design with SFX, vs just having a good mic and knowing how to use it. The former is super cool, but the latter is essential. And you def know how to use your mic and voice, so that's all I need :). What sets you apart is the quality of the scripts you write/fill, and your voice skills. Whether the audio is stripped down or not won't matter to me.

2020-11-20 08:44:29 +0000 UTCThe first audio of yours I think that caught my attention was the loverboy ai. I descriped it as "wildly cinematic" and I stick to that. Your audios whether they have the "full treatment" of sfx or not are entertaining and excellent quality. You put thought and effort into your work and it shows.

2020-11-19 18:42:36 +0000 UTCWhat caught my attention: Actual good usage of SFX, emotive voice acting, all-around pleasant sounding voice. BYLM tugged at the heartstrings. I came in looking to nut and instead I was feeling emotions all of a sudden. What keeps me sticking around: You. I've already said my piece many times about why I stick around. You're passionate and extremely good at what you do. It's natural that I want to support you because you should be compensated for your hard work. Also, audio seggs.

2020-11-17 15:16:20 +0000 UTCI think your voice and voice acting are amazing. Your very talented!! I was SUPER excited to find a new M4F with some talent but... and I’m obviously in the minority here, I do not like the violence and degradation you seem to bring to each audio. It IS possible to have a hard fucking MDOM that isn’t degrading and/or violent. Been skimming through your content and have yet to find an audio that doesn’t take a dark bdsm turn of some kind. You seem to be very popular and have LOTS of happy customers, it’s just not for me. I DO wish you the best of luck but you’ve lost me a a supporter

2020-11-17 06:32:32 +0000 UTCTruthfully, Tom, knowing the standard you set for yourself, I trust you to make whatever decisions are necessary to get the story across. The soundscaping you do is helping to redefine the medium over on GWA, which is super cool, but it isn't everything that defines you. GSB said it really well when she said that you turn a monologue into a dialogue. Your voice acting really *shapes* your audios. And you KNOW I'm always here for the plot, so really, give or take whatever you feels fits an audio. You know your process better than we ever could.

2020-11-17 04:34:00 +0000 UTCI can’t remember your first audio, but I can remember that I was struck by your sound design, and it made you stand out from other creators in GWA and such places. There are few creators that I listen to consistently that do not incorporate detailed sound design like you do. THAT BEING SAID, sound design is what caught my attention, but your voice, writing ability, and originality are why I’ve stayed, and simply you being a good guy, too! I am totally willing to be getting fewer audios or wait longer for them rather than get them more frequently without such sound design, but I will be happily sticking around on reddit and Patreon whichever route you decide to take!

2020-11-17 02:32:15 +0000 UTCNoisy neighbor was my first audio that I listened to. everything about it was so unique to me. After subscribing to your Patreon, exploring more of your audios, and discord, I respect you even more as an artist and a person. Thank you Tom 🖤

2020-11-16 23:16:12 +0000 UTCI believe You’re My Best Girl and Let Me Get To Know You were the very first pieces that I listened to. Yes, I was very impressed with the scoring and soundscaping and they overall made the auditory experience VERY PLEASING. But I think the one thing that continues to draw me in and makes your audios particularly immersive is your acting and your ability to turn a monologue into a dialogue. That is, it’s just you talking into the microphone, but your voice inflection and the timing of your delivery, really makes it feel like you are having a conversation with your listener, and THAT is incredibly intimate and enticing. And from what I have explored so far if the erotic audio world, you are one of the very few, if not the One & Lonely (😋) who performs this way. Dunno if that makes any sense.

2020-11-16 23:03:34 +0000 UTCI found your reddit around the time you released an AMA and your voice is *chefs kiss* while I looked at random audios though, your artist statements were what drew me in most because of the details and how creative you were with them. This was also around the time you made a youtube and you released "A Rainy Day Reunion" and I went crazy because I learned you had a whole ass storyline of plots and boy do you know how to keep your audience captivated! I didn't even noticed all the sound effects until "Hard Justice" was released and I was in awe. I truly apperciate the whole process of your artistic creations from the acting, sfx and plot but I'm really here for your voice in its entirety. So with or without these details, your voice is what makes it for me.

2020-11-16 21:20:12 +0000 UTCAs long and as much as I been listening to you, I really have mixed views about sound design since I enjoy ASMR outside of Audio porn. In some Audios like Wash Day I wanted the uh slapping noises to sound more wet like we was in the shower. Or when we get slapped in the face in general,I would prefer a real slap from you lol or like walking sounds to be like how the walking would actually sound in that setting. I remember saying the walking was a lil loud in the on the same page audio. But then I liked the sounds of you doing our hair in wash day and how soft you were, (script fill)outta this world was REALLY good. Shy girl was good. (Original Script)Give him that cake was really good with sound design. Umm just more realistically organic to me off the top of my head. I know sound design is not so easy to do. Also I think you have more plot than most VA’s, and i really like your voice so i put you at #1 on the list. I’d say strengths are more in your voice and story telling. Sound design is great too! idk, I feel like you’re the closest to immersive story telling through sound so I hold you to a higher standard lol im all over the place with this comment.

2020-11-16 21:14:13 +0000 UTCIn a nutshell, what drew me in at first: sound design, acting, then plot. Now, it is more along the lines of: acting, plot, sound design. For the lengthy explanation, because you should know by now that I can't write "short blurbs" when asked about this sort of thing. And if not, now you know. And so does everyone else. 💕 The first three audios of yours I listened to were Untapped and The Demon. Memory Games was a couple days later, at which point I binged all the rest of your audios in the Strings universe. What really drew me into your audios at first (besides the obvious tags and content) was your sound design. I hadn't heard anyone include music in their audios before and it really caught me by surprise in an entirely good way. All of the sound effects and foley was amazing, too, coming from audios that included the very bare minimum, if any at all. It all just added an entirely new dimension to the audio and I fell in love with it. But especially the music. It was like listening to a movie play out that only I could see in my mind. Next was your acting. I had gotten seriously spoiled on a certain other VA's acting and improvs, and it had become a lot more obvious in a lot of cases when someone was just reading off a script and not putting enough or even any emotion into what they were doing. (Not to mention the obvious originality that comes with a VA doing their own scripts and improvs.) So to find another VA that was able to bring the speaker character more to life in their audios, and be able to further switch it up between different audios with just intonation and accent, is just amazing. It makes it all much more immersive from the listener's viewpoint and enjoyable. And going along with what I said about the sound design, if someone who wasn't very good with their acting decided to add a lot of sound design of any sort... I still would not be drawn into it the way I am with yours. If I can tell they are reading off a script, it's an instant nope from me regardless of anything else in the audio and I'm closing out of it less than a minute in. And finally, the plot. Oh God, the plot. At first, I honestly didn't give two shits about the plot, partially because the length of many plot-driven audios was just intimidating to me at the time. But once I finished Untapped, and got into The Demon, I was loving it. Going into Memory Games, there was absolutely no turning back for me and that sealed the deal. Heavier plot just makes it so much more immersive and really involves the listener in what is going on. Again, that is in order of what I loved the most when I first started listening. But once I started getting invested in and appreciating the Strings plotline... That obviously changed. Currently, what keeps me around for your audios, in order: acting, plot, sound design. I still strongly prefer all the sound design you put into your audios to be present, but already knowing and loving your work, it would not be a deal breaker for me if you started cutting back on it on your bigger releases. Quite frankly, I really enjoy the "stripped down" audios you sometimes post on Patreon, which is why I know sound design can be ranked last for me. While it really adds a whole new element to the audio, I feel like the plot is now the selling point for me. But if a bad actor were to try to do a plot-driven audio? It just wouldn't work. Which is why the ranking is the way it is for me now. Ultimately? At this point, I will listen to whatever you happen to publish, whether you go for the full cinematic experience or scale it back like some of the Patreon exclusives.

2020-11-16 20:44:40 +0000 UTCThe audio that drew me in was Wash Day because it was something soft and tender catered toward women who look like me. It’s not often someone takes the time to show black women as worthy of soft, gentle affection. But the the thing that keeps me coming back is simply the sound of your voice. You have this very distinct lilt in your voice that I absolutely adore and the promise of hearing it again is what draws me in. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the sound design or plot, because I do. I love that I can get wrapped up in your stories easily, but I mean, if I’m honest, I could listen to you read a dictionary and I would be content.

2020-11-16 20:18:18 +0000 UTCThe audio that got me hooked on you and made me run to subscribe to your patreon was your cake day audio✨ I really enjoyed hearing your vulnerability, as weird as that sounds aha, but it felt so real so yea. 🧎🏽♀️I also admire the work you put into each audio and the sfx are just *chefs kiss*

2020-11-16 20:02:32 +0000 UTCWhile “Shy Girl” was the first piece I commented on, tbh what got my attention was an M4F script fill (and no, it wasn’t The Demon). You fleshed out the world beyond the dialogue-only script and soundscaped and scored the hell out of it. Also, your spiteful drunk!boy delivery was on point. As for reasons for continued listening… not to be too *me* BUT honestly, it’s how you continuously push the boundaries of the medium. You– and those in your creative circle, which you also continue to expand– are challenging what can be done (and I don't just mean sound design), and it’s exciting to witness. There’s also your thematic explorations, which I won’t delve into because that's an essay for another day. Oh, and spies, of course.

2020-11-16 19:00:09 +0000 UTCI love a lot of your audios because each audio has a different reason on why I like them. But what caught me was Wash day it made me feel comfortable and included which is very rare in a lot of communities for poc truly thank you for that, meanwhile an understanding made me realize how much I like to be degraded, your audios are not over the top with everything overlapping and your transitions from one scene to another ✨elegant✨❤️

2020-11-16 18:31:27 +0000 UTCFor me, the order of most to least impactful in your audios is Plot --> Voice Acting --> Sound Design. I enjoy your sound design, and your voice is sexy of course, but your plots (and how diverse they are) are the main reason I enjoy your work. The first audio I listened to of yours was Shy Girl, but Testing The Waters really got me hooked. I browsed your library of audios and saw you made M4Ms and M4As as well, and I really enjoy sexual diversity in a VA. When I listen to an audio of yours it is very easy for me to be immersed, even if the “listener” role is not something I particularly identify as. You do a good job of adding in just enough small detail elements (in plot, pacing, and sound design) that it makes the audio feel immersive and genuine. (For a specific example, I love the preamble in Testing The Waters — it’s easy for me to feel like a friend is actually talking to me about a shared experience I’ve personally had.) I look forward to new audios of yours because I feel like I’m going to listen to something at least somewhat new or unexpected.

2020-11-16 18:25:45 +0000 UTCThe audio that hooked me was “Summer Love Under the Willow” 😌 your voice, your voice, your voice! As I listened to more of your audios I was very impressed with the SFX and BGM. Having that cinematic experience with Strings is so much fun! I definitely love and enjoy the way you tell stories. That’s what keeps me coming back and why I wanted to become a Patreon.

2020-11-16 18:22:05 +0000 UTCThe Demon & She's Out Of This World were the very first audios I've ever listened to from you and the SFX from both of those audios amazed me so much that i kept listening to more. Then I listened to You're My Best Girl and I was hooked! Your voice and the plot behind it moved me to tears damn near. Those three audios really raised the bar for me when it came to listening to other audios. I was utterly blown away to be honest. Also the music you choose for the background in your audios makes me keep coming back, I love it. I keep listening because you create a new experience in every single audio. The listener can feel the emotions behind the words and put themselves in the shoes of y/n. Also your voice puts me in a trance lol so there's that.

2020-11-16 17:44:33 +0000 UTCI found you by accident. I was looking for a new VA to listen to you and I happened to stumble upon your page. The first audio that I listened to was Shy girl…….. boy, I was blown away. The ambience, music, your voice (omg your voice 😊😊!!!) and the story, it was sooooo (still is ) amazing !! The music/SFX is the biggest factor for me, you really know how to make the listener feel like they are actually in the story. Also I love your voice !!! I’ll listen to you read the back of a cereal box😆😅😆

2020-11-16 17:34:40 +0000 UTCMy friend sent me the YouTube wash day and it honestly made me cry. I started listening to your other audios after and I like how immersive they are. I learned what gwa was from you and I couldn’t really get into some of the other artists as much because they didn’t have that factor. I also like the story aspect. I’m a girl but I still really enjoy “Because you let me”(I’m lowkey hella invested in the story and can’t wait for the next part!) I think you should do whatever is most comfortable for you but I really like the sfx and storytelling. Also your voice is like butter☺️

2020-11-16 17:15:11 +0000 UTCI think the shy girl audio was the first I heard but I didn’t follow you on Reddit or Patreon until I heard wash day. I really enjoy the amount work you put into the audios as they make things more immersive for me but I would say your voice is what makes me stay around. I would still like to hear audios with less sfx if that’s something you are considering
Birdie
2020-11-16 17:01:59 +0000 UTCThe first one I listened to I think was shy girl which was like 🤯. I forgot that what I was listening to wasn’t real, and I still do,because of both sound and acting. You make it so easy to set up the whole picture in your head! And listening to noisy neighbor was when I thought, I gotta hear everything he does he’s just too good! And your VOICE, after hearing audios without the SFX, I can really just listen to you talking about anything 🥰!
Key
2020-11-16 16:49:44 +0000 UTCLike a lot of people, it seems, Shy Girl was the first audio I listened to and I got the patreon pretty much right away. The sfx are always great and immersive, but what I like most about your audios is how you make the listener feel "seen" (or heard, I guess) instead of just saying sexy things in order to reach a certain event or number of minutes. And that's due to the voice acting. The more stripped down audios (even the meta ones) still put you and the listener in a situation that you get to explore, and that's what I enjoy, regardless of what gets added in post.
Nikki
2020-11-16 16:45:01 +0000 UTCFor me it was a combination of all. I loved your voice and that is what made me want to continue listening to your audios. But the story & sound FX behind them is what made me truly want to stay because it made me feel more connected and immersed into the audios themselves. You work super hard on these and I can tell, and they are very enjoyable for me because they seem so real and makes me come back for me. Keep it up Tom! You’re doing amazing ❤️

2020-11-16 16:26:54 +0000 UTCFor me I think it had be a combination of your voice and your voice acting. The way you're able to really sell yourself into any given role. When I first started listening to your audios I wasn't really into the whole ASMR "boyfriend audio" things and I thought it wouldn't be something I continued listening to cause it seemed silly. The emotion your put behind your voice though in every audio whether its serious or silly or sexy is what kept drawing me back though. Sure the SFX is really nice and adds a great touch but personally it's not something I NEED to keep listening.

2020-11-16 16:26:42 +0000 UTCit was definitely the sound design and plot that caught my attention the first time i ever listened to you. Shy girl was my introductory audio and i was hooked after that because the voice is normally the first thing I focus on when listening to audios but I became so mesmerized by the acting and the plot that I wasn’t even focused on your voice or “getting off” lol. Prior to your work i never had such an entrancing experience with an audio before, it was very refreshing and opened me up to the art that goes into audios. Also, I stayed because i support your creative process and I think the content that you make is unlike anything i heard then and even now. Plus the love for what you do really shows in your work. 😊

2020-11-16 16:25:49 +0000 UTCUnlike my long commentary I'm known for leaving, I'll try to sum up what lead me to coming back to your audios: Complete immersion; I've heard many audios with SFX, but I was never so immersed as I was when I put my earphones in and was sucked into the world you carefully paint for us. Immaculate sound design, plot, with a bit of porn added? Perfection, at least to my ears. A podcast that I listen to frequently uses this quote and I think it sums you up nicely -- "like television... but for your ears". 💕

2020-11-16 16:14:17 +0000 UTCShy girl was the first audio I listened to and what made me continue was I really like the sound of your voice and how the background noise didn't cloud over anything.. it was a good chill plot with a couple comedic points and tho I've never been with some one I relate so much with not being a fan of crowded places of people I dont know.. just all round fav audio could relisten at any time... such great work👏👏😁

2020-11-16 16:11:58 +0000 UTC"Give him that cake" is what pulled me in from YouTube. The voice acting when talking about dealing with depression and the guilt over not wanting a surprise party really made me cry and I just find that you have a great way of expressing and delivering emotions into words in ways that I find very difficult so it feels like a release for me. You've done it on multiple occasions and I really connect with it. Thank you!

2020-11-16 16:06:13 +0000 UTCShy girl was the one that got me hooked onto your audios because everything about it was on point. The sound design, the score, the acting was immaculate. But it's mainly the acting and the writing that gets me really into your audios. Before when I was exploring gwa, I would come across some creators where their audios made uncomfortable; however I never felt that way with yours. Its come to a point where I am comforted to the sound of your voice, as if it's a "safe place" if that makes sense.

But Noisy Neigbour made me love your content even more, because of how it felt like its own little "movie" with the added SFX. 2020-11-16 16:01:24 +0000 UTCyour sound design was definitely what made you stand out - it adds a whole immersive element that's really hard to find. "testing the waters" and "let me get to know you" were the two audios that really got me hooked - the background music in "let me get to know you" added so much atmosphere and really just made everything that much more special. that being said, i also loved your minimal patreon-specific audios because they felt so off-the-cuff, kind of like an acoustic version of a song.

2020-11-16 16:00:27 +0000 UTCI started listening because...reasons but continued listening for the crazy things you do with your voice. I enjoy the ones with ambient sounds as much as I do the ones with full sound effects. Basically, if you post it, ima listen to it.

2020-11-16 15:57:38 +0000 UTCShy Girl was the first audio I listened to and it just blew my mind compared to everything else I had hear up until that point because I was fairly new to reddit. If I didn't like the sound of the mic or voice within about 10-30 secs I was out, but this audio had saying "hold up this is not like all the others." Your sound design/editing was so phenomenally perfect that it took me a little time to realize that I was boppin my head with the music. Your voice and acting had me smiling and blushing while I sat in a room working. All of this together help me to envision your story better. Thank you for that 🥰❤

2020-11-16 15:54:27 +0000 UTCnoisy neighbor caught my attention but shy girl made me wanna stay! but also wash day *really* made me wanna stay lmao. your plot is really captivating, your humor kept me entertain, and your voice made me h word🧍🏾♀️another ive noticed is that your sfx really helps “set the mood” i guess i could say. sometimes when i listen to other VAs and i don’t hear sfx it just doesn’t hit the same like yours do🧎🏾♀️

2020-11-16 15:54:19 +0000 UTCThe first audio I listened to was "The Demon" and I was absolutely shook! I had not heard the soundscape used in such a way! The plot was fantastic and the acting was completely *chef's kiss* fantastic. I've been obsessed ever sense! No matter what you make I would still listen! I love it!

2020-11-16 15:54:08 +0000 UTCShy girl was the first audio that captured me and why I continued to listen. I was floored just by your acting alone. And the sexy parts of your audios don’t seem rushed or sudden, which kind of turns me off an audio, the pace just seems more natural. Your character building and development is fantastic. Also just your voice honestly lol. That’s what makes it a Tom audio for me. While the sfx make it more immersive, just your voice alone is enough to make the audio amazing.

2020-11-16 15:53:10 +0000 UTCI'm truly here for your voice. I really enjoy listening to your game streaming. The um NSFW stuff is....ugh nice too. Whatever you make, I'll listen to it and enjoy. Plus Sydney is the cherry on top!!

2020-11-16 15:50:51 +0000 UTCIt was probably the sound design and scenarios that caught my attention first (Noisy Neighbour was the first I listened to). I'd not been exposed to audio drama before then. I'm here because I like/support your creative direction. I stick around because the content you create aligns with the type of non-audio content I am also generally interested in (imaginative, strange at times, expressive). Also, the quality of your acting is a big factor, as well. Hope that helps. Cheers!

2020-11-16 15:49:22 +0000 UTCThe audio that made me stay was On the Same Page! While I do think your audio design is very distinct, I wouldn’t say that is what first caught my attention. I really liked your plot building, your acting, and most importantly (to me) your voice. I would still listen to you if there was zero sfx involved because your voice just hits my ears the right way, it feels comforting and familiar, so... 🤷🏽♀️

2020-11-16 15:46:35 +0000 UTCNoisy Neighbor is the audio that *really* caught my attention because of your humor, sound design and plot. When i first heard it i was like “damn this is the type of guy best friend i would want” lmaoooo. I’m also very picky about voices and yours was perfect so ofc that added on to it as well.
