2025-10-25 16:09:50 +0000 UTCI feel like whats important to know, and you'll see this a lot clearer when you're further into the series, is that belly is an unreliable narrator. We see what she sees and how she perceives things, but that doesn't necessarily make them true. She feels really insecure about and around conrad and sees him as this cool, popular boy, that doesn't give her the time of the day and doesn't care about her, but clues are sprinkled here and there, that that is just her perception of him. And I think that's also the case with Taylor, they're actually both really insecure, they just cope with it differently. They both handled that situation wrong, Taylor came all the way to cousins from Philly, which is like an 8 hour drive i think, just to be there for a day and Belly just ditched her to be with the rich, cool girls. I mean, they're both just teenagers and if i remember correctly, being a teenager means being self-centered, every emotion being huge and dramatic and every little thing being an attack on who you are haha. Sorry for the essay :D
